Wabi Sabi Counselling

My name is Perina Connell. I am a counsellor and supervisor with more than 20 years experience in mental health. I work with adults navigating trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, relationship difficulties, workplace stress, life transitions, and impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences.

Throughout my career, I have worked across community, organisational, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) settings, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds to find greater clarity, resilience, and emotional wellbeing. My qualifications include a masters degree in Social Work Counselling, Mental Health Accreditation and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).

My approach is warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental. I believe healing happens when people feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered to reconnect with their own values and strengths.

I offer counselling in person in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, online, and through walk-and-talk sessions in nature.

What I offer

I work collaboratively with clients to create a safe and supportive space where we can explore what is happening beneath the surface, make sense of difficult experiences, and build practical tools for lasting change. Sessions are tailored to your individual needs.

I offer counselling and professional supervision, using a strengths-based framework, including EMDR, mindfulness, somatic approaches, parts work, and internal resourcing.

My work is informed by an understanding that emotional wellbeing involves both mind and body. Together, we focus not only on reducing distress, but also on building resilience, self-awareness, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of connection to yourself and your life.

I am an NDIS and Medicare Mental Health Care provider. Sessions are available online or in person.
